White, Grey or Oak: choosing the right finish
How to pick a bedroom furniture finish that works with your walls, flooring and natural light.

White keeps the room light
White furniture works well in smaller bedrooms, rooms with darker carpets and homes where you want the furniture to feel quiet rather than heavy.
It also pairs easily with most wall colours, so it is the safest option if you change bedding or decor often.
Grey gives a modern look
Grey furniture suits rooms with white walls, neutral bedding and silver or chrome details. It gives more contrast than white without feeling as warm as oak.
Use grey if you want the furniture to feel sharper and more contemporary.
Oak adds warmth
Oak is the best choice when you want the bedroom to feel warmer. It pairs well with cream walls, beige carpets and natural textures.
If the rest of the room already has wood tones, try to keep the furniture finish consistent so the room does not feel mixed.
